The LA Times has more on the battleship USS Iowa's imminent arrival at the Port of LA. The ship will be towed down from the Bay Area toward the end of the year and could open as a museum by next summer. Backers say the floating museum will create 100 jobs and draw 450,000 visitors a year. $5 million for the project came from a bank loan, $3 million was donated by the state of Iowa, and $1 million was raised by the group backing the project.
