Everyone is going after everyone else in the latest battle in WeHo's billboard wars--a resident named G.G. Verone has been waging an expensive campaign against a double billboard replacement on the Sunset Strip below her house. Ace Outdoor Advertising wants "to raise the billboards 14 feet, sharpen the angle of exposure and double the boards’ size," reports the WeHo News. One neighborhood activist says Verone is backed by a rival billboard company, Verone has sent mailers calling out the mayor pro tem for previously accepting campaign donations from Ace, and Ace says Verone is trying to tie it to the conservative Mormon politics of Utah, where the company is headquartered. It's a real barn burner. [WeHo News, flyer image via]
