This 6,000 square foot house in Hancock Park was mostly built by Bullock's department store founder John G. Bullock (but not all--he and his family probably would've been pretty freaked out by that master bathroom). The vintage is a little unclear--Redfin's public facts say the house was built in 1906, while an old Larchmont Chronicle article says it was 1922. (That article also says that Bullock owned all the land on the west side of the block and had his wife's childhood home moved next door to 605 S. Plymouth.) This house sits on more than half an acre and has eight bedrooms, seven and a half bathrooms, a library, a dining room, a carved wood staircase, a sunroom, a pool, a guesthouse, a four-car garage, and a basement. That's some grand old Hancock Park living. Asking price is $2.925 million.
