There may be no love lost between Downtown developers Barry Shy and Andrew Meieran, who've collaborated on projects like the SB Manhattan and Higgins buildings only to later haul each other into court--but the two men met in the middle for a deal regarding the Shy-developed Bartlett Building at Seventh and Spring (Shy previously owned the building, as well). Details are vague, but the Downtown News reports that the end result is that Meieran acquires the Bartlett's ten retail spaces, which total 40,000 square feet, and will be responsible for getting something good in there. Meieran says he wants to restore the building's historic storefronts and add restaurants/cafes/nightlife. [Downtown News]
