The West Hollywood Library is finally looking all polished and ready for its Grand Opening and dedication this Saturday (with special guest speaker Jackie Collins, according to the WeHo News). We've been ConstructionWatching the Johnson Favaro-designed building since October 2009. The new library is 32,000 square feet and includes new city council chambers, meeting rooms, CATV facilities, tennis courts, and two new parking garages, as well as art by David Wiseman (the branches in the stairwell) and Shepard Fairey (the red, yellow, and black mural). Real estate and architecture photographer Luke Gibson took these shots on a press tour last week; he also shot the building in a less-finished state in July, so you can compare and contrast.
