Ok, it seems like there are commute time and traffic studies released every other day, but this one's a biggie--the American Community Survey (the detailed questionnaire sent out by the census bureau). Stats released today show that LA-Long Beach-Santa Ana commuters took an average of 28.1 minutes to get to work in 2010, which puts the area in seventeenth place in the US. The greater New York and Chicago areas were both at the top of the list, since transit commutes can often take longer. [LAT]
