We noted earlier this week that Burbank officials had approved a huge increase in airport cab surcharges, so simply entering a taxi at Burbank Airport would cost $15.50, even if you only traveled two blocks. Well, that silly edict has been reversed, says the Burbank Patch. They're running a statement from the Burbank Traffic Commission's website saying that "After further review by the Burbank City Attorney's Office, the action of the Burbank Traffic Commission to implement a minimum fare of $15.50 for all taxi cab rides originating at Bob Hope Airport has been determined to be beyond its authority at this time."
