Sherman Oaks Listing Would Like You to Admire its Views

New, 14 comments

Perhaps we're just obtuse, but outside of a short sale/foreclosure situation, we fail to see the logic in hustling a property out onto the market with only one or two photos in the listing. Because it kinda-sorta-definitely creates the impression someone's got something to hide. Let's take the pic-deprived listing for this mid-century modern in Sherman Oaks, for instance, which apparently hopes to hypnotize prospective buyers into believing it doesn't matter what the house looks like, as they'll never be able to tear their eyes away from its bedazzling views. "Modern, updated and ready to rock. We have views from both the first and second level decks that will simply knock your socks off. Lavender, Hockaranda, Rosemary and Oleander adorn the backyard garden, while Roses decorate the front. Did I mention the views? Updated kitchen, beautiful hardwood floors throughout and large master bedroom suite. More views. A second level with two bedrooms, laundry area and private den. And another view. Private hillside living at it's very best! Don't miss the views." Asking price for those aforementioned views, which presumably come with the three bedroom, three bath house attached, is $899,000.
