Graffiti artist Saber--of the jumbly designs that decorate parts of the LA River--is skywriting above Downtown today in the name of artistic freedom. The Los Angeles Times reports that Saber has scrawled messages like "End Mural Moratorium" and "Art Is Not A Crime" to protest bureaucratic crackdowns on street art. Saber's buddy Shepard Fairey got a shoutout too, with a message of "OBEY" written in the blue sky. To get up to date on today's action, both Saber and Fairey are tweeting about today's skywriting.
