Smith & Williams Post and Beam in San Marino With a Showy Fireplace

New, 17 comments

This San Marino post and beam was built in 1957 and designed by Smith & Williams, a couple of lesser-known mid-century modernists who designed Pasadena's All Saints Church and worked on Brentwood's Crestwood Hills tract with A. Quincy Jones. The house has five bedrooms, three and three-quarter bathrooms, a pool, a little stained glass, "an impressive fireplace w/ massive marble stone hearth & sculpture-like iron mantel," and a wetbar. Asking price is $1.828 million.
