Well, if you're going to have "a huge dome of compacted debris," might as well make it green. The Glendale News-Press reports that the Dunsmuir sediment placement site in Crescenta Highlands, which is (almost) full of mud and rocks from post-Station Fire rains, is getting planted with vegetation to make it a little prettier and a little less erosion-prone. The Dunsmuir dome still has room for more dirt, but after it's full, the county will give it to Glendale, "which can use space at the top for a park." [GNP, image via]
