Oh no, a squirrel fell in the La Brea Tar Pits! Luckily someone at LACMA called the California Wildlife Center near Calabasas and workers were able to transfer the little tar-coated gal, coat her in mineral oil, and clean her up with warm water, toothbrushes, and Dawn: "One team member kept a firm hold on the terrified squirrel while the other person washed and rinsed." The Acorn reports that "The squirrel is now eating on its own and quite angry—signs that it is ready for release." [The Acorn, image via]
