Waiting to Exhale For Downtown's Clark Hotel

New, 5 comments

There's much anticipation over the resurrection of the 1910s-era Clark Hotel near Hill and Fourth: blogdowntown reports that construction permits were issued this summer for three new restaurants, while Brigham Yen has video footage of the fancy new second-floor pool. The Clark's owner, the Chetrit Group, is notoriously secretive about their development plans and some say, a little blasé about the neighborhoods they operate in (renovations for the 300 room Clark have dragged on around 15 years, blogdowntown says). Meanwhile, Tony Hoover, who helps book conventions for the city, comments on both sites that an official announcement from Chetrit could help secure lucrative convention business for hotel-starved Downtown.
