With the decades-old Hollywood Farmers Market at Selma and Ivar going through some dicey times lately, Hollywood & Highland either saw an opening or just loves the idea of bringing fresh produce to Hollywooders. Either way, it's launching the Orange Drive Certified Farmers' Market on September 10--it'll be every Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm (the HFM is on Sundays) in the horseshoe on Orange Drive just north of Hollywood. The market will be run by Jennifer McColm, the woman behind the markets in Brentwood, Pacific Palisades, and Calabasas (read: fancy). In a press release, a rep for the mall says "Of course, the Highland & Highland Center attracts many tourists?but our intention with the farmers' market is to make it a meeting place for our neighbors."
