LOS ANGELES: With the recent tumultuous end to Los Angeles's relationship with its long-time bus bench manager, everyone's hoping we'll get something better than the awful brown lumps that the old company is now ripping out. Architect Ariel Asken of firm Voiture12 submits his design for "an inexpensive easy-to-assemble product for all to enjoy" (it also looks pretty hard to lie down on, regardless of its message). RANCHO PALOS VERDES: Terranea Resort's villas and casitas are filling up, according to a press release--they've recently closed on six of the houses. One three bedroom, three bathroom "Casita" sold to "legendary advertising executive Lee Clow," who's responsible for Apple's 1984 commercial, the Energizer Bunny, and the Taco Bell Chihuahua. According to the release, Clow's first house is also down on the peninsula. [Curbed Inbox]
