A new report from the Brookings Institution think tank says that Los Angeles does the second best job in the country of giving carless people access to public transit (Honolulu is number one). Of course, actually getting those people to their destinations is another story--"only 36 percent of zero-vehicle households can get to their place of employment in 90 minutes or less (that figure includes areas not served by Metro)."
