The Great Wall of Los Angeles, possibly the world's longest mural and LA's first iconic mural, has been getting painstakingly restored over the last several years and will re-debut on September 17. After the ribbon cutting, work can start on adding signage, lighting, and wHY Architecture's solar-lit bridge around the mural's Tujunga Wash home. Supporters also hope to update the history depicted on the mural--right now it goes up to the 1950s, but there are already designs ready to add the Vietnam War, the Los Angeles riots, and more.
