Failing at photographing one's home is like failing phys ed or study hall--it shouldn't be possible, but somehow there's always someone who falls through the cracks. To help listings be their very best, we show you what not to do.
Santa Monica listings have an outrageous number of crap MLS photos. It was kinda hard to pick from the treasure trove we stumbled upon this weekend. Well, there's an open house tomorrow for this home built by critically obscure architect James Bonar. The exterior already looks like Dorothy's place after the tornado, but the real magic's happening on the inside. Let's just say the words aloud and see how ridiculous they are: five-tier, wrap-around glass shelving. Yeah, it's so bad we're gonna cut this place some slack and not even mention the Venice Beach blanket sale tchotchkes on the shelves.
