Ground-Level Condo in Pasadena's Mid-Century Villa San Pasqual

New, 40 comments

Remember Villa San Pasqual, the 1950s courtyard condo complex built by condominium pioneer Lionel V. Mayell? The well-maintained Caltech-adjacent complex came to our attention a couple of months ago, when one of its twenty units was being offered for sale. While that unit was quickly snapped up (final sale price: $315,000), another one of Villa San Pasqual's one-bedrooms is now available for rent. Sadly, its bathroom doesn't appear to harbor any awesome Franciscan "Starburst" tile, and with respect to its ceiling fans, we'll just refer you to the commenter who said they belong only in an ice cream parlor or a train station. But on the plus side, there are hardwood floors, a private patio, ample built-in storage, and garage parking. Monthly rent for the 820-square-foot unit is $1,790, including utilities.
