FAIRFAX: The Italian grocer Eataly, which operates stores in their native land, Tokyo, and New York, is described by the Gray Lady as a "megastore" that "combines elements of a bustling European open market, a Whole-Foods-style supermarket, a high-end food court and a New Age learning center." Well, it looks like they may be coming to LA, and possibly the Fairfax District with a store that will be at least 40,000 square feet.
MID-CITY: The Delice Bistro--French, organic, and Kosher--on Pico has shuttered after a decade of operation. The neighboring bakery remains in operation, though.
SOUTH PARK: The breasts are coming! Hooters is opening very soon in Downtown's South Park, across the street from the convention center and near the Blue Line station. "The first 100 people to arrive at 11AM (1248 S. Figueroa St.) on opening day, next Monday, score free chicken wings for a year," reports Eater. What about fried pickles?
LOS ANGELES: Eater has updated their list of the 38 Essential Restaurants. Two restos were dropped, two added, but you'll have to click here to see which ones.
