Real and Fake Americans on LA's New Cyclist Anti-Harassment Law

New, 29 comments

Los Angeles has a new ordinance on the books making it illegal for motorists to harass cyclists--it tacks on stiff penalties for people found making life miserable for the two-wheel set. Portland newspaper The Oregonian recently ran a story and poll on the new legislation--a whopping 64% said LA's law stinks (the exact wording was "Bicyclists can be just as uncivil. If bicycling is so dangerous, why do many bike riders flout traffic laws?") The Onion asked their three favorite people on the street about LA's Bicyclist Anti-Harassment Ordinance and they weren't big fans either.
