Buck Rogers High: Sophomore Year

New, 13 comments

In Metropolis mag, LA Times architecture Christopher Hawthorne finds out how the students of Central Los Angeles High School Number 9, aka Buck Rogers High, like their shiny Coop Himmelb(l)au-designed school two years in (he also recaps the school's history, for anyone who doesn't remember that long, expensive journey). The kids complained about "the lack of color and shade and the number of stairs," with one saying the gray and silver is too "bright in the sun, and depressing in the winter," but overall Hawthorne says he was surprised "by the amount of really positive feedback."
