The Alhambra Source has documentation of the destruction going down at the old Edwards Atlantic theater, which started out as a single-screen theater and became one of the first multiplexes (the building coming down isn't the original): "On Wednesday, the gold columns and bright red marquee of the Atlantic Palace were all that remained." The county bought the theater this year and will build a new headquarter for the Los Angeles County Housing Authority on the site. [Alhambra Source, image via, previously]
