Culver City Still Getting Flashed

New, 5 comments

Sorry, Culver City. While the Los Angeles Board of Police Commissioners this week voted to ixnay those driver-reviled red light cameras from city streets (a proposal that now floats over to City Council for consideration), Culver City's 12 camera-ed intersections will ticket on. Culver City's red light cameras will not be affected by any changes to the Los Angeles program and it doesn't look it has the urge to cut the power to its camera force any time soon. Vice Mayor Scott Malsin tells Patch that the cameras are placed at intersections that have "a history of injury accidents," such as Washington and La Cienega Boulevards. [Patch, image via]
