Where Are All the Bedrooms in Zsa Zsa Gabor's $15 Million House?

New, 35 comments

Finally, Zsa Zsa Gabor and her weird husband Frederic Prinz von Anhalt have actually listed the Bel Air house they keep saying they're selling. The listing features way more realistic numbers than what we've heard in the past--a city-assessor-verified square footage of 6,393 for one thing, and a $15 million asking price, way down from the $28 million that von Anhalt was throwing around in January. Listing agent Christophe Choo tells Forbes he had to get real with the couple: "I’m not sure where Prinz Frederic and Zsa Zsa came up with that [$28 million] number back a year ago...Once they called me in as the local expert to list the house, I was very upfront with them and very honest about what I felt the market value really was."

The house has four bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, but you'd never know it from the listing, which doesn't even show a kitchen. Very demure. There's also an "antique French fireplace," an "enormous formal dining room," "Exquisite French details and moldings throughout the house," a two-room closet in the master suite, a breakfast room, a butlers pantry, and a pool, all on more than an acre of land. Choo says the house "does need a remodel," and thinks a buyer would want to put in about $1 million.

Forbes says that the house has already been shown around, including to a "European prospective buyer whom has been expressing strong interest."
