American Dream, Tarnished but Alive

New, 6 comments

People still connect home ownership to a personal sense of well-being, according to a poll and accompanying story in The New York Times. Almost nine in 10 say owning an abode is still an important part of the American dream, while sympathies for those struggling to avoid foreclosure run deep. Banks didn't make out well--42 percent blame lenders for causing the housing crash. [NY Times]
