If you live or work Downtown, this will make you very happy: the Forest City-owned 14-story Met apartment tower in South Park is in the midst of a paint job that's taking it from a late '80s Skittles/Rainbow Brite-influenced eyesore to something resembling sophistication. Brigham Yen snapped these photos this weekend; he reports that half of the stucco tower has been painted over with a dark grey color--including those insane balconies that once were bright green, orange, purple, and yellow.
