Van Nuys wants to secede...its airport from Los Angeles World Airports, the commission that governs LAX, Ontario Airport, and Van Nuys Airport. A San Fernando Valley airport advisory group is trying to rally the Valley to split up LAWA so that Van Nuys gets more attention (one member calls the airport "pretty much a stepchild"). With the recent talk of transferring Ontario's management away from LAWA, the whole band could be breaking up. [LADN]
