New Rules for Group Homes

The City Council moved ahead yesterday on an ordinance to regulate group homes in the city: "The measure would subject sober living facilities to parking and other regulations if they house seven or more residents, and would bar owners from having more than one lease agreement with tenants in a single-family house," reports the Daily Breeze. Opponents say the ordinance is unfair to people trying to stay sober and off the streets. The Council will have a final vote after attorneys and other officials weigh in. [Daily Breeze]
