HOLLYWOOD: According to the LA Times columnist Hector Tobar's recent guide on how to be a true Angeleno, you should never, ever disrespect Voice of the Dodgers Vin Scully. So nightclub Supper Club at Vogue has made a big faux pas covering up Scully's star on the 6600 block of Hollywood Boulevard with its red carpet. The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce told the Vin Scully is My Homeboy blog that the announcer's fine with it, but the blog still wants the carpet moved. [Vin Scully is My Homeboy, via LA Taco]

HOLLYWOOD: Any birders in the crowd? An emailer writes: "I've got a question maybe one of your more ornithological focused readers can answer - Why are there always seagulls in Hollywood? I'm thinking especially around the Cinerama Dome. I don't see them in Beverly Hills or West Hollywood. Anyone else notice this?" Maybe they're trying to find Vin Scully's star. [Curbed Inbox]
