The CRA/LA Exception

New, 3 comments

California Democrats can't eliminate local redevelopment agency's, as Governor Brown wants, without Republican support, so they're going ahead with a plan to "pressure the agencies to part with the money voluntarily." Pérez of LA--"It allows the Community Redevelopment Agency of Los Angeles to receive redevelopment revenues beyond a court-ordered cap that the city has already hit." An aide says the provision's being removed. [LAT/Sac Bee]
