Blogger Brigham Yen has before and after--or rather, almost after--shots of the newly pedestrian-friendly Vons complex at the intersection of Colorado and Sierra Madre Boulevards in eastern Pasadena. Earth tones blend with the mountain backdrop, retail space meets the redesigned sidewalk rather than the parking lot, and some new palm trees add to the posh urban feel of the once dowdy, old school market. Not to be out-shined, the new Walgreens across the street went ahead and got itself a spiffy neon sign. [Brigham Yen, image via, previously]
