Updated 2:13 pm: map added This little love note reading "TOURISTS GO AWAY" showed up recently at the top of Mulholland Highway in Hollywoodland, just below where the road is gated (it joins a "No trespassing private property violators will be persecuted" [sic] sign that's been around for a while). This is a favorite but tight Hollywood Sign viewing spot and it's one of the many places at issue in the ongoing Hollywood Sign Viewing Spot Wars--neighbors can't agree on where to send tourists to view the Sign, the area is congested, and things have occasionally gotten nasty. Several tourists came through while we were up there this weekend; all of them seemed amused and took photos of both signs.
