Why won't West Hollywood just let the Abbey dance? The bar has applied for a permit change that will let it operate as a nightclub, but the Planning Commission put the matter on hold at its meeting last week after city staff (which recommended approval) came unprepared. The Abbey has already built a 265 square foot dance floor and is just waiting for the word to put it to good use. [West Hollywood Patch]
