If Fred Flintstone became ambassador to China, then retired with the family to La Cañada while Wilma pursued society life, we bet they'd be happy in this house, designed by Jack Simison and built in 1966 (couldn't you see Fred in those silk pajamas on the bed?). Simison designed quite a bit in the northwest San Gabriel Valley, including the La Cañada Country Club and Montrose Mall (here's one of his houses in Pasadena), but he never seemed to hit the big leagues. This house has two bedrooms and two and three-quarter bathrooms in 4,100 square feet, with redwood lath ceilings and stained glass doors. The grounds include a pool, koi ponds, and waterfalls on seven-tenths of an acre. Asking price is $2.75 million.
