Here Are Elizabeth Taylor's Oscars in Their Natural Habitat

Images via Architectural Digest Ok, we see how the Elizabeth Taylor house listing is gonna play it: leak word to the Wall Street Journal that it's coming on the market, then reveal the listing itself, but with teasingly few photos. Next: Architectural Digest spread. They know how to build suspense in Bel Air. Here're photos from a shoot that was underway when Taylor died in March, showing off little bits of her garden, dressing room, trophy room, and living room, where she kept a Warhol silkscreen of herself. NBD.

Taylor has owned the 7,000 square foot house since 1981, and according to its listing, it has two master suites, "a galley-style country kitchen," a pool and spa, a sauna, and 1.27 acres of "immaculately terraced gardens" that include a lawn, an arbor, a hothouse, a koi pond with waterfall, "a secret bamboo 'jungle'," and rose gardens. Asking price is $8.6 million.

If this thing doesn't sell ASAP, we'll meet you back here in six months when it finally hits the MLS. We are desperate to see that violet-upholstered bedroom.
