The Muppets Will Have a Big Dance Number on Hollywood Boulevard

New, 1 comment

The first trailer for The Muppets movie dropped today and yes, Muppet geeks are a little nervous about how the Forgetting Sarah Marshall writers will handle the material, but there's also plenty of room for Los Angeles geekery. We know that in the movie the old Muppet Theater, which is played by Broadway's Los Angeles Theatre, is threatened by dastardly Chris Cooper's oil drilling plans (and c'mon, that's a way better plot than the "trying to make it on Broadway/amnesia" stuff from The Muppets Take Manhattan). There's no hint of those preservation themes in the trailer, but there is a little bit of action Downtown and on Hollywood Boulevard, including a big, choreographed dance number right past the Jimmy Kimmel theater. Check it out down below.
