Beverly Hills has produced a 17 minute video called "It's a Wonderful City" that asks "What if the Beverly Hills Planning Department had never been born... never been born... never been born..." and it is definitely wonderful (it's from 2009, but Chris Nichols tipped us off to it last Friday). The story follows George Buildly, a Beverly Hills developer who, after his project is held up, wishes there never was any mean old Planning Department. When his wish is granted, he walks into a world where the 9-0 looks like...Downtown Los Angeles, with just a hint of Long Beach. Do watch.
