Updated 10/3: This Spanish-style four-bedroom near Runyon Canyon was designed in 1930 by Carl Jules Weyl, who was the designer of Hollywood's Brown Derby restaurant as well as an Oscar-winning art director behind such films as Casablanca, The Big Sleep, and Ready, Willing and Able, the latter of which, while not exactly a classic, features one of the greatest set pieces in movie history. (Seriously, click the link.) Per its listing, the home features original tile, hardwood floors, stained-glass windows, built-in cabinetry, carved wood moldings, stenciled beams, a fireplace, and detached garage that's been converted to a studio/office. According to Redfin, it last sold in 2008 for $1.875 million. It's now listed at $1.829 million.
