Better Shelter Flipping Goes Coastal in Signal Hill

New, 32 comments

Is it just us, or is Long Beach buzz finally starting to build a little? The gays have been there for years, and now here are the flippers, specifically Better Shelter, whose original northeast LA territory is getting crowded with imitators. This 1947 house isn't anywhere near the coast (it's not even technically in Long Beach--it's on the Signal Hill border), but BS has given it some nautical touches and even some coast-city-themed artwork. The house has two bedrooms, one and three-quarter bathrooms, "era-correct doors & light fixtures," a two car garage/studio, citrus trees, and "a freshly seeded victory garden," so the only thing you'll need to fully live the mid-century LB lifestyle is a job at Boeing. Asking price is $435,000.
