Monrovia's supposedly-haunted Aztec Hotel is now plagued by the ghost of debt payments past, as the owner has defaulted and a sale is planned for May 16. The Mayan Revival hotel was built in 1925 along the original Route 66 and is listed on the National Register. Check out one of the stories behinds its hauntings: "Supposedly [some newlyweds'] nuptial activities were a little rambunctious...The bride fell out of bed, struck her head on the radiator, and died from the blow." Asking price for the haunted hotel will be more than $2.4 million. [Monrovia Patch, image via]
