Man, everyone wants a bigger golf course today. The South Pasadena City Council and residents debated through the night last night (until 1 am) about whether to allow the Arroyo Seco Golf Course driving range to expand down to the border of the South Pasadena Nature Park. The golf course brought in golf consultants to testify "that the range's current length prevents experienced golfers from practicing there in favor of a longer range where they can see their ball fly farther." At the end of the night, the council voted against the extension, but will continue discussing the matter in closed session. [South Pas Patch]
