Well, part of this is good news--a study released today says rents in LA County apartments will drop by about 3.2 percent by the end of next year, according to the Daily News. The reason for the drop, according to the article, is that the Southern California economy still mostly stinks (12.3 percent unemployment as of February) and there's an excess of housing. In other parts of the country, the opposite is occurring, with rents on the upswing. [Daily News]
