The LA County Board of Supes will decide today whether to go ahead with hearings for a border land swap with Orange County that would simplify the Long Beach-OC border along the San Gabriel River, Coyote Creek, and the 605. In the deal, LA would cede 42 acres to the OC (including 37 acres of "a vacant, needle-shaped island") and get 36 acres of OC back for LA. That's a net six acres we're just going to let disappear behind the Orange Curtain. [LAT]
