The circus is coming to town! Specifically to Hollywood and Highland. If everyone's curious how this latest show, "Iris" (pronounced "eee-ress"), will perform (particularly amid the move by the city to hand out a controversial loan related to the show), here's a question: Where should these two guys live, and more importantly, park?
"Hello LA Curbed, I am an artist with the Cirque du Soleil. In two weeks time my brother and I will be relocating to Los Angeles to begin working on "Iris" the new Cirque du Soleil show at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood. I was wondering if you had any recommendations for monthly parking in Hollywood. We're looking for a secure, reliable and practical parking garage close to the Kodak Theatre as we'll likely be driving to and from work daily. We have been told that the garage next to the Hollywood/Highland complex is often too full. Especially in the evening after shows or performances. We have been offered a rate of $100/month from this garage. Do you think this is a good deal, or would you recommend somewhere else?
If you also have suggestions on apartments to lease also we would very much appreciate your advice. We plan to live in, or around the West Hollywood district. We've budgeted about $2000 for our monthly rent. Two bed, two bath apartment. We've found many on the internet. The usual apartments that are featured from a "Google" search. Maybe you at LA Curbed have some recommendations of your own?" As we know, Hollywood has seen an explosion of rentals...but some of these buildings are nicer than others. Or maybe new construction isn't the way to go. Where to send these two? And perhaps they can simply walk or tumble to work every day, rather than drive?
