Beverly Hills Unified School District, a major opponent of a subway stop at Constellation and Avenue of the Stars in Century City, is moving around more money to fight for the station to be routed to Santa Monica Blvd. In a story on declining property tax revenues and its negative effect on the district's finances, the Beverly Hills Patch reports that the BHUSD board vice president told the PTA yesterday "that BHUSD’s legal counsel has advised that the district can shift some subway-related expenses to Measure E, the $334 million bond voters passed in 2008 to modernize the city’s schools." The district has already authorized $400,000 to legal and PR costs to fighting the subway station and they just shut down their adult education school. Eeek. [BH Patch]
