In addition to all the JH Snyderpalooza news we learned yesterday comes this tidbit: Jerome Snyder, managing partner at the development company, confirmed that JH Snyder is bidding on the Sunset Boulevard and Gordon Street site, which is entitled for a 23-story condo and office tower. The derelict-looking site, which holds the former Spaghetti Factory restaurant building, is currently being shopped around by owner, Seattle-based lender Washington Holdings. (And we hear there is interest from many developers.) Portland-based Gerding Edlen originally owned the parcel. Both the economy and a lawsuit brought by locals helped kill the project. It's not clear what bids are coming in at, or if the bidders plan to build the same project planned by Gerding Edlen. Gerding Edlen bought the two acre site in 2006 for about $20 million.
