BEL AIR: There were worries that the years-long carpool lane construction on the 405 could contribute to the demise of the Bel Air Bar and Grill; the spot is currently closed for business, but management tells Eater it'll reopen eventually and be "even better."

NORTH HOLLYWOOD: We've covered the story of the old-timey Phil's Diner returning to NoHo (there was a drama involving the restaurant being dropped by a crane), now Eater reports the 21st-century Phil's, a healthier incarnation, opened to customers yesterday.

CULVER CITY: There is a sad dearth of good Korean on the Westside, but a new restaurant called MoKo debuts on April 26th (with some heavy-hitting New Yorkers behind it). Short for "Modern Korean," the restaurant occupies the former Gyenari space in the middle of all of Culver City's culinary action.

LOS ANGELES: Next week is Eater's Burger Week--polls, contests, prizes, and specials at area restaurants (there's crazy talk about burger ice cream being part of all the fun). Eater wants your nominations for the city's best burger; click here for info.
