Site of new mystery hotel
As rumored, AEG has just sent out a press release stating that tomorrow an announcement will be made for a new hotel at 901 West Olympic Boulevard, right across from its Marriott Hotel at LA Live. Plans call for a 22-story, 377-room hotel tower featuring two hotel brands. And the deal is being done with Portland, Oregon-based Williams/Dame & Associates, the same group that was part of the South Group Evo and Elleven team. This hotel is proposed at the NW corner of Olympic Blvd. and Francisco St. Back in 2008, AEG execs began talking up plans for a new hotel across the street from LA Live. And which hotel this will be? Rumors have pegged it as a Marriott Edition or Hard Rock. Update: Well, this is interesting.
