Even More Apartments for Hollywood

New, 12 comments

While the final plans are a ways off, a local developer has purchased a large chunk of Hollywood (near Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue) with the intention of replacing all the existing properties with apartments and retail, according to the Los Angeles Times. "Champion Real Estate acquired 17 parcels — most of the property — roughly bounded by Highland, Selma, Hawthorn and Las Palmas avenues. The real estate includes three small office buildings, two apartment buildings, a restaurant building and three parking lots, said receiver Taylor B. Grant, who handled the sale." And so Hollywood's apartment boom continues. [LAT]
